Crisálida
Legend tells of a silk worm cocoon that fell, almost 5000 years ago, into the tea of Empress Leizu, also known as Xi Lingshi, when she was resting under a mulberry tree in the palace gardens.
When she tried to pull it out the fabric unraveled, revealing a single long-standing thread, of a light, resilient and high quality fiber that left the empress fascinated.
The discovery of such a fiber was the birth of silk farming's expansion, first through China and then through the world.
